Requirements: Being a Novice This fundamental MMORPG ability allows users to exchange items or money through dealing other players. It is strongly suggested that users take caution when trading items or money with other players. Make sure to check items being exchanged in trades to avoid possible scams.

Requirements: Basic Skill Lv.1 Allows users to use more than 30 types of Emotion Icons. The Emotions Icon List can be accessed by pressing (ALT + L). Emotion Icons are able to use by typing commands on the chat windows or you may set them within your macro menu (ALT + M). (There are three additional emoticons, CTRL+ “-”, “=“ or “\”) Abusive chatting macros use can interrupt or annoy other players. Please be considerate with the use of the chatting macros.

Requirements: Basic Skill Lv.2 HP and SP recovers at a natural rate automatically, however while sitting, the natural HP and SP recovery is doubled. The command to sit is the “Insert” key or by using the command “/sit “. However while sitting, the character cannot move or attack, it`s advised to be in a safe area before sitting for extended periods of time. HP only restores naturally while a character is standing still or sitting, however SP is naturally restored even while walking. This ability is very helpful for beginners who lack items to heal themselves.

Requirements: Basic Skill Lv.3 This skill allows a character to open a Chat Room for chatting privately with others only within the chat room. Only those within the chat room will be able to see the chat as well as those outside will not be able to see the chat. You can open a private room which will require a password to enter or setup a chat room for trade when you need to sell or buy certain items.

Requirements: Basic Skill Lv.4 To join a party, you use the command /join "Party Name" (the quotes are required if the party name contains spaces). While in a party, you can see other party members` location indicated by colored dots on the mini-map. Also while in a party you can see other party members` HP gauge. You can know who to support in a fight with this feature. And if the party members` level difference is within 10 levels, the party members can share the experience they gain.

Requirements: Basic Skill Lv.5 There are NPCs called “Kafra Employee” in every town and in some special areas, that allows users to save their start point, that they return to if they should die. These Kafra employees let users keep their extra items in a separate storage. These items may be shared between characters on the same account, within the same server. The storage service requires a small fee for every time you go into it, which can change depending on the Kafra Employee you speak to. It is best to store extra items in this storage, because when a character`s weight is over 50% of the maximum weight limit, the natural regeneration of HP and SP of the character stops.

Requirements: Basic Skill Lv.6 You can organize a party. Also as the leader of a party, you can expel or invite characters your party. If the party members` level difference is less than 10 level, party members can share their EXP.

Requirements: Basic Skill Lv.8 When you master the Basic Skills, you can then change your job from a Novice one of 6 different job classes, referred to as 1st class characters. Each of these 1st class characters requires you to undergo a quest before finalizing the job change.

Requirements: Basic Skill Lv.7 (Novice class only) By pretending to be dead, monsters will surely leave you alone. It is very helpful for Novices while traveling through dangerous areas.
