Weekly server maintenance notice [completed]

Originally designed as a small village, Payon has now been expanded and redesigned to better fit its image in the "Ragnarok - Into the Abyss" comics.

| New Features

It will now be possible to move to the Guild Dungeon from Payon.
The addition of many new buildings and embellishments will
add to Payon`s atmosphere, which is inspired by traditional Korean villages.

| Changes of Trading NPCs

Payon was first created with only one outdoor Tool Dealer, but another Tool Dealer has been added inside one of the buildings for the convenience of players. The Item Upgrade NPC has now been moved outside so that users can enjoy watching other players upgrading their items.

 | Meet People in the Tavern

The Payon Tavern provides a comfortable atmosphere where players can meet and mingle, encouraging more interaction in the user community.

| Magnificent and Beautiful Scenery

The Palace of Payon has been magnificently upgraded to welcome many of users at a time. Outside of the palace, you will see many small, yet beautifully built houses. More new features for Payon, following its expansion and reconstruction, are currently in development.

- Adopted characters are not allowed to marry
or to become Transcendent class characters.
- Adopted characters can only raise each stat to a maximum value of 80.
- Adopted characters have half of the Max HP/SP, as well as
success chance of forging items, than normal characters.
- Size of adopted characters is smaller than normal characters. Pecopecos for Baby Crusaders and Dresses for Baby Dancers will have a different visual style than normal characters.
- Adopted characters are considered to be Small Size Humanoids.
Normal characters are Medium Size Humanoids.
- Family members can share experience regardless of level difference as long as the level of parents is higher than 70.
- A couple only can adopt one character for their entire lives.
- Once a family is organized, it is impossible to disband the family.

Don`t hesitate, pop the big question to the one you love!
Prepare your Tuxedo, Wedding Dress, Wedding Veil and Bouquet and when you`re ready, talk to the Wedding Staff in the Prontera Sanctuary to apply for the Wedding ceremony. Wise and benevolent King Tristram III will act as officiator and give you his personal blessing at your wedding. Invite your friends to your wedding just like a real one! Just remember, after the ceremony, you and your partner won`t be able to fight for an hour.

Once married, both the Bride and Groom will have a Wedding Ring in their Item Inventories.
They can use the following skills when both of them equip their Wedding Rings.

Loving Touch
 Consume 10% of one`s HP to restore 10% of your partner`s HP.
Undying Love
 Consume 10% of one`s SP to restore 10% of your partner`s SP.
Romantic Rendezvous
 Summon your spouse to where you are located.
`Romantic Rendezvous` requires its caster to wear a Wedding Ring.
While the Wedding Ring is equipped, spouses can summon their partners to their locations by consuming 150 SP. This skill requires 20 seconds for it to cast, and does not have any delay after it is used. However, it is not allowed to use this skill in certain areas, such as Guild War zones.

Wedding Ring has the following attributes.
1. Wedding Rings cannot be sold, dropped, vended or traded.
2. Wedding Rings will always stay in the Item Inventory or Equipment Window.
3. When trading with NPCs, Wedding Ring will not show in the Trade Window.
4. It is impossible to put the Wedding Ring into the Cart or player Trade Window.

For those who have conquered every challenge in
Rune-Midgarts, another still remains.
To be god-like you must undergo the ultimate test
of skill and will.
Transcending above mere mortals is no feat for the weak
at heart!
The transcendent class jobs are only available to those
who will accept this challenge.
Heroes with a base level of 99 and a job level of 50
in the second job class may seek out Valkyrie -
the guardian angel of the Transcendent Class
who will guide them towards the path of transcendence.

Origin of Transcendent Classes: ‘Book of Ymir`
According to ancient legend, as Ragnarok - the end of the world,
comes near valkyries will seek from the realm of humans great heroes…
These heroes will pass beyond mortality and be guided by valkyries
to the hallowed halls of honor - Valhalla.
From the halls of Valhalla, they would be sent back to earth to be reborn, to start their lives anew so that they may train to realize their destinies as gods among insects.
This tale of legend was passed down from generation to generation.
It was originally unearthed by scholars from Juno in the deepest part of Juperos in a tome called
`Book of Ymir.`

Benefits of Transcendent Classes
Transcendent class characters are by far the most powerful. Choosing the path towards transcendence will reset your character to a Novice. When beginning again as a Novice, only the basic novice skills will be retained. Skills such as those obtained in the first job will no longer be available. In addition, each stat will be reset to 1 and you will be given 100 stat points to allocate. Until the first class, you will go through the same process that you underwent as a normal character. For example, if you were a wizard, your path is set towards become a transcendent class wizard?a more powerful incarnation of the first. As you progress in level again, when you reach the first job class you will automatically regain the additional skills without having to complete the required quest.

Only the pure of heart can transcend their limits!

Transcendence through Reincarnation [The Transcendent Class System]
You must restart everything in order to become an advanced class character
To gain access to the transcendent class, you must start anew. These classes are variations of previous classes with the exception of greater power and access to new skills. Undertaking this journey
toward transcendence is not easy. To take this path toward transcendence,
your character will be reborn into a Novice.
To become a transcendent class character, you must meet the following three requirements:
1. You must be level 99
2. You must have a job level of 50
3. You must be one of the 2nd advanced classes
For those who have reached level 99, the opportunity to gain greater power represents a formidable but rewarding challenge to ascend to new heights.

Go to Valkyrie to Become Transcendent
Embark on your journey by speaking with Metheus Sylphe. He will allow you to read The Book of Ymir for 1,285,000 zeny. After reading, you will then be ready to meet Valkyrie. Before you meet Valkyrie, you must NOT carry items or zeny. If you do carry items or zeny when you meet her, the rebirth process cannot be completed.
